Visualizing MA School Discipline data

2018 - 2022

An online data tool is being developed as a one-stop, interactive resource for advocates to address juvenile incarceration. Numerous gaps and quality issues in the data collected are recurrent obstacles to advocates and policymakers advancing effective solutions. The goal is to create visualizations that will aid policymakers and advocates in addressing mass incarceration in Massachusetts. The visualizations are used to highlight areas for intervention on both the state and district level.

The C2P Project has been working closely with Northeastern’s AI Solutions Hub to clean and analyze the arrest report data CPIAC has received from police departments across Massachusetts via Public Records Requests.
